Scheidas Wolga Trip - "East Berlin - Moscow 1964"
Communists Party: "Learning from the Sovietunion was Learning for Peace"
But I just wanted to learn more about country and peoples and I did! Look what I mean:
It started not well - bad roads, lonesome, and most terrible without any fuel - stranded in a nowhere district
Then I thougt : Help yourself - You must given the one ............... to get the other............sacrifice my last Wodka Bottles
But then there was coming a man from heaven and called me a fool! - From his point of view maybe he was right !
His name was Boris. He takes a look and said he will help me - but how?
That was the perfect help - A full attached former German Wehrmacht Gasoline can - but whats the price for ?
Iam starting to offer 200 Rubles ............................... He said no !
Much trades later................
To get fuel was most important for me - so I offered him all money - about 1.000 Rubles ! But he also said NO !
Much more trading tricks later I have found whats the right price in Russia for Fuel - Answer was also Fuel (for human body)
Then we where trinking together to the great new 5 year targets of the kommunist party and others..........
Meanwhile we where the best friends ever............ then also he shown me the right way
I also told him from the great exhibition 1958 in Bruxelles ....................
But then we where interupt:
Radio Moscow says Nikita Chrustchew was canceled and Leonid Breschnev was beeing the new leader of the Party.
Thats the point to show my new friend the truth:
Long before traveling to moscow I have bought a forbidden western Magazine called TIME with Details regarding the coming changes in Russia.
Boris was totally surprised - Iam just confirmed in my knowledge.........
Then it was time to say good by , and a few miles later I found a modern Gasoline Station:
Now I was happy and hundreds of miles later I really visited Moscow....................
